Mary Virginia McCullough

Mary Virginia McCullough, 92, of Care Haven of Plesants, Belmont, formerly of Bearsville Community, departed this life on June 9, 2013, in the facility.

She was born in March 23, 1921, in Tyler County, the daughter of the late A. O. and Nancy Jane Bailey Ferrell.

Mary was an Avon representive for 60 years, she was a retired school janitor and cook at Bearsville School. She operated the Bearsville Store and was involved in "Keep a teacher" for one term, and worked on the McCullough Farm in Bearsville. She was a 1939 graduate of Tyler County High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul McCullough.

Mary is survived by her first cousin, Wima Fiber, New Martinsville; her special caregiver, Katherine (Don) Collins, Newport, Ohio, and their children, Todd Collins and Deanna Cochran, both of Newport, Ohio, and Dawn Lauer, Clarksville, Ohio.

Friends will be received at Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bearsville Community.
