James H. Lowe

James Harvey Lowe, 76, died May 21, 2013, at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus, with his family beside of him after an extended illness.

He was born Feb. 1, 1937 to Harvey Woodrow Lowe and Grace Louise Boice Lowe.

Jim graduated from Belpre High School in 1956. He was a maintenance/pipefitter worker at Kaiser/Century Aluminum in Ravenswood, W.Va.

He was a member of the Belpre Masonic Lodge #609, and he attended Bartlett Bible Baptist Church. Jim also liked to attend auctions with his many friends and his brother-in-law, Hollie Kidder.

He enjoyed spending time in his woodshop and was an avid lover of Ford tractors. He also loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Edna Mae Kidder Lowe; his sons, Thomas J. (Pam) Lowe, Timothy W. (Bonita) Lowe; his daughters, Jackie (B.J.) Cassady, Sharon (Brad) Klei; his grandchildren, Christina (Brent) Davis, Stephanie (Drew) Cassady, Rebecca (Drew) Neal, Keith (Heather) Lowe, Ashley Klei, Joe Cassady, J.T. Klei; his 6 great grandchildren and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, Harry and Daisy Kidder.

The funeral service will be held at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre on Friday, May 24, at 7 p.m. with Dwight Davis, Brent Davis and Jack Berry officiating. The family will receive visitors on Friday 2-7 p.m. The funeral procession will gather Saturday, May 25, at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre at 9:30 a.m. for graveside services at Fairview Memory Gardens at 10 a.m.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dennis Newland and nurse Connie, Dr. Dan McGraw and staff, Dr. Barry Lifson and staff, Dr. Hamirani and Davita Dialysis Belpre and Parkersburg.

Jim and Edna would like to expecially thank Crystal and Katie - You were special angels during our time of need.
