Charles V. Ash, 86, of Parkersburg passed away May 17, 2013.

He was born in Vienna, the son of the late Reuben V. and Hazel B. Bailey Ash.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theatre with the USS LST 454. He had at one time worked for Parkersburg Steel. He loved dogs, hunting, fishing, boating and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Edith Ebersbach of Vienna, and a close friend, Robert Miller, as well as his cousins.

Funeral services will be Friday at 7 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg. Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Grafton National Cemetery Saturday at 10 a.m.
