William Jesse DeBerry

William Jesse DeBerry, 66, of East Taunton, Mass., died on May 15, 2013, in the presence of his family following a period of declining health.

He was born on May 30, 1946, in Kingwood, W.Va., a son of the late Jesse and Irene (Teets) DeBerry. A former resident of Whitman, Mass., Mr. DeBerry traveled throughout the United States, living in numerous states. A mechanic, Mr. DeBerry was a "Mr. Fix-It" and worked in the construction industry with his son, Todd for more than 10 years. A passionate outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR racing.

He was the devoted father of Paul B. and Todd A. DeBerry, both of Middleboro; loving grandfather of Kris (15), Kali (12), Owen (3), Amanda (19) and Patrick (18); and former husband of Janice E. (Corliss) Churchill of Onset. He is also survived by six brothers and four sisters, Joseph and Nadine DeBerry, Steve DeBerrym, Paul and Dot DeBerry, Eugene and Della DeBerry, Ralph DeBerry, Wade and Dawn DeBerry, Rose Anna Ruble and her late husband George, Lucille and Bobbie Albright, Phyllis Buffington, and Betty DeBerry; sister-in-law, Ruth DeBerry and her late husband Ray; and an aunt, Betty Shrout of California.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5-8 p.m., May 25, at O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Pierce St., Middleboro, Mass. A brief concluding service will be held at 8 p.m., May 25.
