PARKERSBURG - Parkersburg police officers responded to the 1300 block of 36th Street at 10 a.m. Thursday in reference to a breaking and entering in progress.
Joshua Frank Davis, 43, 1316 36th St., Parkersburg, was charged with felony breaking and entering, officials said.
A convenience store employee observed a man Thursday morning pry the doors open to a garage and enter the building, police said. The store employee saw the man exit the garage carrying several items. A separate witness also saw the man exit the garage, police said.

Both witnesses knew the property did not belong to the man.
Several officers arrived on the scene and Wood County sheriff's Deputy J.L. Carpenter saw the suspect and reported his location to Wood County 911 dispatchers. Sgt. P.A. Giffen, Officer M.S. Brown and Officer S.E. Carpenter began a search for the suspect.
Davis was arrested behind 1308 Lakeview Drive and allegedly was still in possession of an estimated $700 worth of tools taken from the garage.
Davis was processed at police headquarters on the felony breaking and entering charge as well as two capias warrants he had previously been issued for missed court appearances. He was taken to Wood County Magistrate Court for arraignment where he failed to post a $13,000 bond.
Davis was placed in the Wood County Holding Center where he is set to be transported to the North Central Regional Jail.
