Louise Elaine Law, 83, passed away May 13, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus.

Born to the late Charles Edward and Leone Ruth (Hopkins) Wertenbaker on Feb. 25, 1930, at Camden-on-Gauley, Webster County, W.Va., she married Charles Eugene Law on May 28, 1949, in Constitution, Ohio.

Elaine retired as an administrative assistant from the Farmer's Home Administration in 1991 after serving in several federal agencies.

A gentle and kind spirited woman, Elaine was dedicated to her large family including her daughters, Donna Dailey, Beverly Terrell (Bill), Sue Tracewell (Rick) and Barbara Augustine; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, David Charles Law; and her sisters, Betty Wertenbaker, Janet Flasher and Patricia Snyder.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with her great-nephew, Sean Law officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation and gratitude to the staff of the Telemetry Department at St. Joseph's and to River Valley Medicine & Pediatrics for their kindness in caring for our mother.
