Kenneth Johnson, 93, of Sistersville, W.Va., died May 12, 2013, at Carehaven of Pleasants County, Belmont, W.Va.
He was born April 8, 1920, in Sistersville, W.Va., a son of the late Frank Johnson and Bertha Holmes Johnson.
Kenneth was retired from Tyler County Schools as a bus driver and was a full-time farmer. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He also was a member of First Baptist Church of Sistersville, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Ice Johnson; two sons, Bill (Janet) Johnson of Sistersville, W.Va., and Dan (Pat) Johnson of Glenville, W.Va.; two daughters, Dorothy (Jim) Shreves of Sistersville, W.Va., and Nancy (James) McMullen of Sistersville, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dale, Duane and Robert Johnson.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, with the Rev. Donald Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Friendly Cemetery at Friendly, W.Va. Calling hours will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to service on Wednesday.
