Harry W. Buckley

Harry William Buckley, 78, of Parkersburg, passed away on April 30, 2013, at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.

He was born in Belleville, W.Va., on June 16, 1934, a son of the late William McKinley and Eliza "Jane" Riel Buckley. Harry had worked for Fulton Refrigeration for 16 years and retired from the Wood County Board of Education, where he had worked as a Maintenance Engineer with heating and cooling for well over 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.

Surviving Harry are his wife, Linda Lones Buckley; sons, Shane Ray and wife Joanne and their children, Christopher and Andrea, Harry Thomas and wife Katie and son, Sebastian, and Kenneth L. and his children; and brother, Hartzell Buckley and wife Mary Lou. In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his sisters, Geneva Buckley and Mildred Casto.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, and for one hour prior to the service Friday.

The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the West Virginia Branch of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation @ Tammy Owen, 2072 Crestwood Road, Charleston, WV 25302.
