Frances D. Greene, 76, of Parkersburg, passed on to Glory unexpectedly on April 26, 2013, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
She was born Feb. 13, 1937, in Roane County, a daughter of the late Edward E. and Corrine Reynolds Ross.
She was a 1955 graduate of PHS and retired from the Wood County Board of Education after 18 years of service. She was a member of Blennerhassett Church of the Nazarene and currently attended Broadway Church of the Nazarene. The love of her life was her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Tamara Reynolds of Parkersburg, Brian Greene of Parkersburg and Eric (Heather) Reynolds of Waverly; four grandchildren, Ryan Greene, Megan Greene, Dawson Reynolds and Brookelyn Reynolds; two great-granddaughters, Reese and Rowan Greene; four brothers and sisters, Marsha (J.D.) Whitlatch of Vienna, Jim (Carolyn) Ross of Parkersburg, Patsy C. Perry of Little Hocking and Cheryl Smith of Washington, W.Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Stull; and one brother, David Ross.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Dan Meeks officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
