Donald “Don” “Mr. Wonderful” Johnson

Donald Johnson, 61, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away April 25, 2013, at his home.

Don was born in Wood County, W.Va., Aug. 20, 1951, a son of the late Charles Otto and Evelyn Beatrice Bolen Johnson. Don had previously worked at Evergreen North Cemetery and Walker Parkersburg. He was a long time self-employed salesman with Life-Force/A.L. Williams. He enjoyed drag racing and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, and long time supporter of Parkersburg South Athletics, his alma mater. Don was also a member of The National Hot Rod Association "NHRA".

Don is survived by his wife of 38 years, Teresa Dale Flinn Johnson; two daughters, Kristina Johnson of Los Angelas, Calif., and Brooklyn Johnson of Vienna; three sons, Rick Johnson of Parkersburg, Andy Johnson of Vienna, and Cameron Johnson, also of Vienna; four sisters, Helen McCloud (Claire) of Jackson, Ohio, Karen Johnston (Dale) of North Carolina, Donna Lowers (Ron) of Kanawha, W.Va., and Rhonda Dountz (Steve) of Mt. Sterling, Ohio; four brothers, Glen of Coolville, Ohio, Lewis, also of Coolville, Charles "Chuck" (Vickie) of North Carolina, and John Johnson (Beulah) of Vincent, Ohio; three grandchildren, Dana, Krysti and Charlotte Johnson; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Johnston and Janet Sines; two brothers, Raymond and Gerald; and three other infant siblings.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va., with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery, Parkersburg. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Teresa Johnson. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home, or anyone is welcome to direct mail to the funeral home in care of Teresa Johnson.
