Shirley Anna Sutton, 81, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away April 10, 2013, at Genesis Health Care in Parkersburg.
She was born June 27, 1931 in New York, a daughter of the late Holbert and Anabelle Lafferre.
Shirley and her late husband were the builder-owner and operator of "The Cavalier" Skating Rink and also The Mini-Storage Business in Belpre, Ohio. She enjoyed crafts and yard sales, she also loved being outside and working with her flowers. Shirley was a member of Women's Aglow.
She is survived by one daughter, Penny Cross and late husband Alonzo, and their children, Tony (Aimee), and their children, Austin and Averee; Ryan (Kristie), and their children, Landon and Liam; Nicole (Jeff), and their child, Owen. One son, Rick Sutton (Patty), and their child Sam (Lisa) and children, Brittany and Mariah; her deceased son, Rod Sutton and his children, Amy, Andy, Kayla, Ciara and Dan, and Rod's grandchildren, Brayden and Addi; and her three sisters, Mary Cooper, Marjorie Eaton and Vallerie Best.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold Eugene Sutton and one son, Rod Sutton and one sister Bonnie Wayne.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green Street, Parkersburg, with Pastor Steven Haguewood officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
