Mary Louise Moreland Young, 86, of Walker, W.Va., passed away April 9, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 8, 1927 in Wood County, a daughter of the late Short and Lula Marshall Moreland.
Mary Louise was a member of the Cairo Big Run Independent EUB Church. She was a homemaker and had retired from Walker-Parkersburg.
She enjoyed attending church services and revivals, gardening and enjoyed making pickles and sharing them with friends and relatives.
Surviving is her daughter-in-law, Gracie Young of Newark, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Cary) Hock, of Granville, Ohio, Tonya Kidner of Newnan, Ga. and Kevin (Suzanne) Young of Newark; six great-grandchildren, Terran, Taylor, Britney, Kadin, Emma and Allison; one brother, Karl (June) Moreland of Deerwalk and one sister, Jeanne Dye of Mineral Wells and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Olley French Young in 2007; her son, Larry Young in 2012; a daughter, Sandra Nutter; a baby grandson, a brother, Herman "Jack" and three sisters, Ruth, Geneva and Betty Lou.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg. Pastor Doug Guinn will officiate and burial will follow at the Skidmore Cemetery.
The visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
