Shirley E. Flesher, 67, of Middle Fork Road, Holbrook Community, departed this life on April 6, 2013, at Parkersburg, W.Va.
She was born Oct. 12, 1945, at Harrisville, W.Va., the daughter of the late Troy Wayne and Mary Trader Collins.
She had worked for the Ritchie County Board of Education, first as a contract bus driver and retired as a teacher's aide. She was a 1964 graduate of Harrisville High School. She had contributed to the Telephone Pioneers Handicapped Jamboree at North Bend State Park from its inception. She was a Baptist by faith.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Earl E. Flesher of Holbrook Community; son, Jeff Flesher (Regina) of Harrisville, W.Va.; grandchild, Lauren Flesher; and two step-grandchildren, Mikayla and Elizabeth Little; brothers, Franklin Trader, Gary Collins and Dewayne Collins, all of Harrisville, W.Va.; and sisters, Vickie Richards of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Trudy Ann Bardette of Pennsboro, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a son, Brooks Flesher; and a daughter, Sherry Flesher.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, W.Va., with the Rev. Don Maxson officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Berea, W.Va. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, and after 9 a.m. on the day of the service.
