Thelma L Winter, 76, of Burning Springs, W.Va., passed away April 4, 2013, at Minnie Hamilton Hospital of Grantsville, W.Va.
She was the daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor (Deuley) Welch. She retired from AB Chance of Parkerburg after years of service. She enjoyed watching the birds and working in her flowers, and sharing her knowledge and wisdom with her friends and family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Tina Parker of Vienna W.Va., and Brenda Chaffin of Greensburg, N.C.; five grandchildren, Michelle Parker, Damon Winter, Abe Fought, Sarah Norman and Lisa Campbell; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean McCray of Parkersburg, and Loretta Scott and Betty Wilson of Grantsville, W.Va.; four brothers, Howard and Jim Welch of Five Forks W.Va., Larry Welch of Tennessee, and Bill Welch of Pomeroy, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband of 57 years, Owen Okey 'Bud' Winter Jr.; one son, Michael Dale Winter; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Patrica Metz.
Keeping with her wishes, the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
