MARIETTA - A woman was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital Friday night after her bicycle collided with a car at Fourth and Greene streets in Marietta.
The accident occurred a little after 9 p.m. City police Officer Glen McClelland said he did not know the extent of the bicyclist's injuries but that she was awake and talking when he arrived at the scene.
A report was not complete, and he declined to release names, pending notification of the woman's family.

The 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo involved in the crash had a dented fender and smashed windshield on the driver's side.
The accident remains under investigation.
