Mary Nelle Denning, 90, formerly of Pennsboro and Parkersburg, passed away March 24, 2013, in Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born April 20, 1922, in Fredonia, Ky., a daughter of the late Richard Talmadge Gettys and Olive Margaret Forsyth Gettys. Mrs. Denning was a homemaker and worked at the Colin Anderson Center in St. Marys, W.Va. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving is her daughter, Jo Anne Skinner and her husband Donald of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, Brian Skinner of Pittsburgh, Pa., Stephen Skinner (Jennifer) of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Stephanie Huhn (William) of Maryland; and a great-grandson, Benjamin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Freemont Denning; brother, Richard F. Gettys; and sister, Anna White Gettys.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McCullough Funeral Home, Pennsboro, with Evangelist Terry Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Harmony Masonic Cemetery, Pennsboro. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today.
