Vivian G. Dearth, 74, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away March 16, 2013, at Heartland of Marietta.
She was born Nov. 25, 1938, in Pleasants County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Clinton C. and Cassie Bills West.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially visiting with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing bingo and working puzzle books.
She is survived by her children, Cathy L. (Decker) Moody of Williamstown, W.Va., Thomas E. (Kristy Donald) Dearth Jr. and Bernie L. (Kris) Dearth of Louisville, Ohio; grandchildren, Kiley M. Hoff of Columbus, Ohio, and Kayla M. (Rob) Davis, Steven M. (Kerri) Dearth, Erica K. Dearth and Zachery T. Dearth, all of Louisville, Ohio; one great-granddaughter, Elania Dearth of Louisville, Ohio; three sisters, Erma (Don) Neff of Williamstown, W.Va., Nancy Vannoy of St. Marys, W.Va., and Carol (Marvin) Phillips of Greenwood, W.Va.; two brothers, Joe (Connie) West of St. Marys and Jay West of Clarksburg, W.Va.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Thomas E. Dearth Sr.; four sisters, Edna Smith, Marilyn "Tootie" Brammer, Betty Holmes and Ruth Bailey; and eight brothers, Delbert, James, Bill, Gene, Danny, Norman, Marion and David West.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the Strecker Cancer Center, Dr. Cawley and Staff, Heartland of Marietta, and the entire staff for Vivian's care.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, W.Va., with Pastor Randy Stewart officiating. Interment will be in St. Marys IOOF Cemetery, Park Section. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. today and 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
