For those who need to watch their sodium intake but don't want to skimp on flavor or variety, there is "Sodium Girl's Limitless Low-Sodium Cookbook" by Jessica Goldman Foung.
Based on her website, SodiumGirl.com, Goldman Foung writes from the standpoint of someone told to cut the sodium in her diet and trying to find delicious ways to do so. Asking herself, "Now what am I going to eat?" she came up with new and inventive recipes aiming to consume between 500 and 1000 mg of sodium a day. In the introduction of her book, she also gives tips on how to salt-free your own recipes like she did.
The cookbook portion of the book is divided into Breads, Breakfast and Brunch; Bits and Bites; Dips, Sauces, Salsas and Spreads; Salads; Stocks, Soups and Stews; Vegetables; Noodles, Grains and Spuds; Seafood and Shellfish; Poultry; Meat and Sweets.
