Betty J. Park, 77, of Davisville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, March 10, 2013, at her home.
She was born Aug. 21, 1935, in Wood County, a daughter to the late Howard and Barbara Harper. She was a graduate of PHS class of 1954, she was a member of Murphytown United Methodist Church, the CEOs of Murphytown UMC, and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Harper. She is survived by her husband, Dale Park; son, Roger Park (Gail) of Waverly; daughters, Cheryl Duell (Dennis) of Marietta, and Kay Gandee (Brad) of Davisville; brothers, George Harper and John Harper; sister, Twila Park; grandchildren, Jody, Caitlyn, Amy, Ashley, Heather, Kimberly, Kortni and Paul; great-grandchildren, Zanna, Raina, Brian, Tyler, Emma, Evan, Payton, Ellie, Drew, Wes, Harry and Lily.
Service will be 4 p.m. Thursday at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Mary Zimmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
