Betty Lou Taylor, 65, of Williamstown, W.Va., passed away March 9, 2013, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Dec. 13, 1947, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late Homer Luther and Finnie Faye Pugh Phillips.
Betty enjoyed gardening, flowers, spending time with her family and her two dogs, Sadie and Heidi.
Betty is survived by her husband of 48 years, Howard R. Taylor; five daughters, Sherry McCullough (James) of Davisville, Teresa Hamrick (Troy) of Cowen, W.Va., Amy Ball (David) of Strange Creek, W.Va., Brenda Lamp (Stormy) of Davisville, W.Va., and Angie Taylor of Williamstown; one son, Russell Taylor (Becky) of Marietta, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers, sisters and other family members.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Burnt Hill United Methodist Church, with Bob Long officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church.
Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Vienna, is assisting the family with arrangements.
