Rosie Carolyn ‘Susie’ Smith

Rosie Carolyn 'Susie' Smith, 66, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away March 8, 2013, at her residence.

She was born April 10, 1946, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Ira and Ruth Daugherty Toncray. She attended Center Point Church in Little Hocking, Ohio, and enjoyed sewing and gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Smith of Washington, W.Va.; a son, William 'Bill' Smith (Tracy) of Little Hocking, Ohio; four sisters, Betty Paugh, Grace Stanley (James), and Donna Perry (Lester), all of Belpre, Ohio, and Alma Cox (Randy) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three brothers, John Toncray (Marlene), Jack Toncray and Jerry Toncray (Rita), all of Belpre, Ohio; two grandchildren, Ryan Lockhart and Steve Drain; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clemith E. 'Tex' Smith; four brothers, James, Darrel, Richard and Roger Toncray.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Belpre, Ohio, with Randy Cox and Doug Guinn officiating. Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
