Earnest Earl McCune Jr., 65, of Parkersburg, passed away March 4, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, after a short illness.
He was born March 17, 1947, in Parkersburg, to the late Earnest Sr. and Amanda Anderson McCune. 'Earnie' was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and a Navy veteran. He was a skilled woodworker and remodeled houses to rent. He was retired from Walker/Parkersburg.
He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Moellendick and husband Trey of Vienna, W.Va., and Cindy McCune of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one brother, Roy McCune of Parkersburg, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Tyler Thornton, Aric Moellendick and Jaden Moellendick of Vienna, W.Va., and Wesly McCune and Isaac Pennington of Parkersburg, W.Va.; a friend, Michael Lupardis and his family; several nieces and nephews; and two former wives, Hannah (mother of his daughters), and Jenny. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry; and a sister, Karen.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, W.Va. Burial will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens, with full military graveside rites by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
