PARKERSBURG - Creighton Jay Hoselton, 43, of 3015 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, was arrested by Parkersburg police during a traffic stop Sunday near the 600 block of Pike Street, officials said.

He was wanted in January for failure to appear, police said. Hoselton was wanted in Wood County Magistrate Court on charges of fleeing while DUI and possession of a stolen vehicle, according to records.

In June 2012, Hoselton was wanted on charges of driving on a revoked license, speeding, a stop sign violation and fleeing and eluding in a vehicle. Hoselton led police on a car chase that started on Camden Avenue and ended near East and Mary streets, officials said.
Police found that Hoselton had an outstanding warrant for domestic battery and a suspended license because of a prior DUI arrest, according to police records.
Last August, Hoselton was arrested in Jackson County on charges through Parkersburg police. He was wanted for driving on a revoked license for DUI, speeding, a stop sign violation, fleeing and eluding in a vehicle, officials said.
Records showed he had an outstanding warrant for domestic battery at that time.
In December 2012, Hoselton allegedly led Parkersburg police on a second police chase. According to police records, his arrest was preceded by a high-speed chase shortly before midnight on Christmas Eve.
A 1998 Honda Civic was reported stolen in the 2500 block of Highland Road. The chase lasted around 12 minutes, and at one point sent police onto U.S. 50 and into areas of Marrtown and Chateau Hills.
Hoselton was speeding, driving recklessly and nearly struck several police cruisers during the chase, officials said. The vehicle pursuit ended in the 3000 block of Camden Avenue where police said Hoselton fled on foot.
At the time of the second police pursuit, Hoselton was wanted on an outstanding warrant for domestic abuse stemming from a May 14, 2012, incident where he allegedly struck his spouse in the face and head at their residence.
