Steven Jay Cox, 59, of Parkersburg, died Feb. 28, 2013, at the Heartland of Marietta.
He was born Feb. 7, 1954, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of the late Ralph Eugene Cox and Maxine Parker Gallagher.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War era, and was a truck driver.
He is survived by one brother, Michael (Teresa) Cox of Parkesburg; two nephews, Jason (Katie) Cox of Belpre and Justin (Stephanie) Cox of Little Hocking; one niece, Jaime (Warren) Bigley of Parkersburg; and nine great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Evelyn Dotson Cox; and nephew, Eric Cox.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. March 24 at Grace Baptist Church, with Pastor Todd Hill officiating.
