Barbara Sue DeWees

Barbara Sue DeWees, 69, of Belpre, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus, Feb. 15, 2013, at the Camden Clark Medical Center.

She was born in Weston, W.Va., Nov. 9, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Willis and Tina Dennison Titus. She had been a cook for many area restaurants, and a member of the VFW Woman's Auxiliary in Belpre.

Survivors include her son, Kevin (Brenda) DeWees of Vincent; her daughter, Kristie ( Matthew) Lamp of Belpre; three brothers, Gene, Paul (Carlena), and Ashby (Deloris) Titus; a sister, Sharon (Carl) Lucas; and her companion of 19 years, Gordon Grogan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maynard S. DeWees; and seven brothers and sisters.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, with Pastor David Cumpston officiating. Burial will be in the Rockland Cemetery. Friends may call 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home today, and up to service time Monday.
