Together with their parents, Michelle Jacques-Routhier and Jay Goldsmith announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Daniel and Sara Jacques of Parkersburg.

She is employed by DuPont Washington Works

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Marion and JoAnn Goldsmith of Parkersburg.

He is a volunteer firefighter with the Washington Bottom Fire Department and is employed by DuPont Washington Works.

An open church wedding is planned for Feb. 16 at the Camden Avenue Church of Christ. A reception will immediately follow.

After a honeymoon in Canaan Valley, the couple will reside in Washington, W.Va.
