Margaret "Peg" Cross Godfrey, 94, of Morgantown, W.Va., formerly of Parkersburg, W.Va., Columbus, Ohio, and Navarre, Fla., departed this life on Feb. 9, 2013, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Peg was born in Townville, Pa.
She is survived by four children, Dennis Godfrey (Pam) of Morgantown, W.Va., Diane Curran (Jack) of Sangerville, Maine, Deborah Minear (Michael) of Little Hocking, Ohio, and Robert Godfrey (Karen) of Winchester, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Philip Cross of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roy Godfrey Jr.; one brother, Reid Cross Jr.; and a granddaughter, Laura Godfrey.
The family appreciates the exceptional care and support provided by Dr. Richard Layne, Dr. William Minor and the personnel at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Mapleshire Nursing & Rehabilitation and Amedisys Hospice in Morgantown.
Cremation services were provided by Hastings Funeral Home.
Family and friends will gather at a later date to celebrate her life. Inurnment will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg.
