Lisa Jayne (Cline) Schmidt, 47, of Parkersburg, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus.
Lisa was born Feb. 25, 1965, in Elyria, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert Cline and Sue Crislip, and step-father, Charles of Parkersburg. She was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School with the class of 1984. She was employed by the former Johns Manville plant of Vienna, the Schwebels Baking Company in Columbus, Ohio, and of Lowe's in Columbus, Ohio and Mooresville, N.C. Lisa was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Parkersburg. She loved animals and leaves behind her special dog, Salsa. She also greatly enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, and will always be remembered as a good-hearted woman and very forgiving.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Schmidt; daughter, Lauren Schmidt; son, Cori Schmidt; grandson, Brayden Hurt; sister, Sherry DeBarr (Dennis); brother, David Cline (Donna); and step-brothers and sisters, Pam Clevenger (Dan), Terry Crislip (Pam), Joe Crislip (Diane), and Luann Ayers (Mike).
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev. Dr. Thomas McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg. Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
