ELKINS, W.Va. - Glenville State College increased its winning streak to 14 straight games after defeating Davis & Elkins 67-53 on Thursday night.
The Pioneers are ranked 17th in Division II and improved to 20-2 and 15-1 in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Senators, who lost their 25th consecutive meeting to GSC, drops to 11-10 and 10-7 in the WVIAC.
GSC trailed by as many as eight points in the first half and fell behind 35-33 in the opening stages of the second half before overtaking Davis & Elkins by as many as 17 points at 65-48 with just under four minutes left in regulation.

Kenyell Goodson led GSC with 15 points after knocking down 5-of-11 from the 3-point range. Teammate Jelena Elez dished out a game-high eight assists.
Alicia Lent paced Davis & Elkins with 12 points, while Page Turner pitched in 11 points.
UCF 64, Marshall 52
ORLANDO, Fla. - Marshall women's basketball fell in a nationally televised game to UCF on Thursday evening, 64-52, in the UCF Arena.
The Herd dropped to 7-14 (1-7 C-USA) with the loss, while UCF improved to 8-14 (2-6 C-USA). The loss marks the seventh defeat in a row for Marshall women's basketball when being showcased on television.
Erica Woods had a career night, totaling 20 points and surpassing her former career-high of 16. She tied a season-high in rebounds with eight, while also tying a season-high in steals with four.
Woods' 20 points is the highest tally of any player for the 2012-13 season. The St. George, Bermuda native went 7-for-10 from the field and was efficient from the free throw line, going 5-for-6 from the stripe.
Suporia Dickens also set a career-high with 15 points, going 5-for-12 from the field and 5-for-7 from the free throw line. She added five rebounds and three steals.
The Herd defense finished with 12 steals and five blocks and was able to force UCF to commit 18 turnovers. On the other hand, Marshall recorded 25 turnovers and UCF earned 17 steals against the Herd.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State worked two overtimes to defeat Wisconsin, 65-59, Thursday at Value City Arena. But it took a little magic at the end of regulation for the Buckeyes to pull out the victory.
Trailing by four points with 11 seconds left, Tayler Hill was fouled on a 3-point attempt with 1.5 seconds left. After making the first two, Hill intentionally missed the third free throw as Amber Stokes tipped the ball under the basket to Ameryst Alston who quickly flipped the ball over her shoulder and through the net as time expired. It was Alston's first basket of the game.
But that was only just the beginning of the drama. With 1:32 left in the first overtime and down two, Stokes drove baseline and converted a layup to tie the game for the 14th time. After a Wisconsin miss on its next possession, Hill had a chance to win the game but missed a layup, which forced another overtime session.
This time Ohio State (13-10, 3-7) eliminated the drama early, outscoring the Badgers 7-1 in the second overtime to win its second in a row and keep its postseason hopes alive.
Ashley Adams led Ohio State with 16 points and nine rebounds while Hill and Stokes each added 15. Aleksandra Dobranic also hit key shots for the Buckeyes in critical moments and finished with nine.

ELKINS, W.Va. - Despite trailing by as many as 12 points in the second half, Glenville State College made it difficult for Davis & Elkins to finally put the clinching blows on Thursday's 74-70 victory.
Davis & Elkins (7-14, 6-11 WVIAC) led by as many as 14 points in the first half and maintained a double-digit margin at 66-54 with just under 11 minutes left in the second half.
GSC chipped away at the deficit and closed to within two at 66-64 on a three-point play from Lamar Mallory with 4:20 showing on the clock. The Pioneers, however could pull no closer and slipped to 10-11 and 6-10 in the WVIAC.
JJ Vazquez led GSC with 19 points, while Shane Brown of Davis & Elkins scored a game-high 23 points.
