Stephen (Stevie) Lee Bussey, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., Monday, Feb. 4, 2013.
He was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., on June 3, 1966. He was the son of Lola Lee Bussey and the late Bobby Lee Bussey of Parkersburg, W.Va.
Stevie is survived by his brothers, Bradley Dale Bussey and wife Mindy, and David Paul Bussey and wife Jo; niece, Amie Phillips Pablo and husband Gregory; nephews, Brooks Ludwig and Corbin Bussey. Stevie was loved by his aunts, Helen, Luretta, Dorothy, Betty, Jean, Jerrine, Gay, Dixie, Nellie, Wanda and Lucetta; and uncles, Paul, Bradley, Dayton and Dale. Stevie shared an enduring love with his many cousins and many special friends.
Stevie was an inspiration to the many lives he touched through Wood County Special Olympics and Wood County Sheltered Workshop. Stevie enjoyed NASCAR, road trips, four-wheeling, monster trucks, playing slots, bowling and a cold Bud Light.
Special care and love was given by our extended family Trudy Mahoney.
He was a graduate of Martin School, class of 1990. Stevie's faith will enable him to be welcomed home by his family, grandparents, Emma and Jesse Bussey, Cloie and Gordon McDonald; and father, Bobby Lee Bussey.
Friends and family may gather 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th Street, Parkersburg, W.Va. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Stevie will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens, following the service.
