Eugene and Janet Frymier Sheets of Smithville will celebrate their 50th anniversary today.
The couple were married in Oxford. W.Va., by the Rev. Frank Osborne.
He worked in the oil field for several years as a heavy equipment operator for Neloteer, Greer Brothers and Young, Savin Brothers. He retired from Grafton Coal Co. He enjoys the outdoors, helping others and working in his shop.

She retired as a contractor for the U.S. postal service after 28 years. Her hobbies are cooking, decorating, gardening and helping others.
They have two children, Richard "Rick" (Debra) Sheets of Smithville and Cheryl (Shane) Gragg of Auburn, W.Va.
They have four grandchildren, Chelsea and Hollie Gragg of Auburn, Tyler and Travis Sheets of Smithville and the late Brian Adam.
