Joe and Donna Ward of Paden City announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Ward, to Jordan Reed, son of Bill and Sherry Reed, also of Paden City
The bride-to-be is a 2007 graduate of Paden City High School and a 2011 graduate of West Liberty University with a bachelor's degree in general science education. She is set to graduate from West Virginia University with a master's degree in reading in August 2013. She is a science teacher at Valley High School.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2008 graduate of Paden City High School. He is set to graduate in December 2013 with a bachelor's degree in software engineering from West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
