Samuel William Boley Sr.

Samuel William Boley Sr., 69, husband of Carolyn Price Boley for 47 years, passed away Jan. 31, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.

Born on Nov. 1, 1943, on Broad Run in St. Marys, W.Va., he was a son of the late Richard Stanley and Elizabeth Adalade Boley. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and worked for years as an operator in the oil field and construction. He retired from Arvilla Wells Service in 2006. Sam was a member of the Laborers Union, Operators Union, and Steel Workers Union. His hobbies included hunting, riding 4-wheelers, bird watching and hanging out with his grandkids.

Survivors other than his wife, include three daughters, Tina (Randy) Britton and Deborah Davis, both of St. Marys, and Brenda (Tim) Mendenhall of Newport, Ohio; one son, Sam Boley Jr. and fiancee, Heather Gray of Belmont, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren, Brandon and Dustin Britton, Greg and Cody Mendenhall, Erika and Jonathan Davis, Colt and Mary Logan Boley, and Jenna, Megan and Johnathon Gray; one brother, Larry Boley; five sisters, Francis (Norval) Taylor, Wanda Wehmeyer and Kim McGee, all of St. Marys, and Charlotte (Larry) Bailey and Teresa (David) Bailey of Wellsburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Gary, Delbert and Lewis Boley; and one sister, Shirley Boley Moore.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, W.Va., with Pastor Jim Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasants Memorial Estates. Friends may call 2-8 p.m. Sunday, and noon-1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
