WILLIAMSTOWN -The Williamstown girls weren't shy about knocking down the 3-pointer in Thursday's 91-72 win against Magnolia.
The Yellowjackets (9-8) combined for 14 treys, including seven by Brooke Cieslewski, who finished with a career-high 31 points. Teammate Kenzie Smith, who surpassed the 1,000-point plateau for her career earlier this week, accounted for five 3-pointers and added 28 points, while Sami Rea pitched in 12 points.
Magnolia's Mallory Chapman finished with a double-double after scoring 22 points to go with 12 rebounds. The Blue Eagles' Katie Blatt flirted with a triple-double after finishing with 10 rebounds, 10 assists and six points.

BECKLEY, W.Va. - Keya Bartlett was a scoring machine after finishing with a game-high 30 points while leading Parkersburg South to a 66-36 victory against Nicholas County in an opening round game at Thursday's Big Atlantic Classic played at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
Bartlett accounted for 18 points as the Patriots (10-6) bolted out to a 34-21 halftime lead. Teammate Taryn McCutcheon just missed a triple-double after ending the night with 13 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.
Shealyn Shafer led Nicholas County (13-2) with 20 points.
Parkersburg South advances to the championship game of the Big Atlantic Classic scheduled for a 4 p.m. tipoff on Saturday.

ST. MARYS -Limited to one bucket in the first half, Kendra Walker poured in 17 points after halftime and enabled St. Marys to pull away for a 71-49 win against Tyler Consolidated on Thursday night.
While Walker finished with 19 points for the 18-1 Blue Devils, teammate Audra Clark added 14 points to go with 10 boards. St. Marys' Abbi Fetty accounted for 12 rebounds and eight points.
Torrye Cline led the Silver Knights (8-9) with 16 points, while Sophie Kinnard added 12 points and Sydney Reed tossed in 10 points.

SPENCER - Visiting Gilmer County jumped out to a 26-7 lead after one period and never looked back in registering a 63-42 LKC South victory over Roane County Thursday night.
Gilmer was led by Julie Bishop with 25 points, including a half-dozen 3-balls, while Morgan Allen added nine on three treys and Michaela Gumm also contributed nine points to the win.
Roane, now 4-13, got 19 points from Becky Frye, who netted five treys, while Cassisdy Taylor dropped in 13 points, nine on three treys.
The next game for Roane is at Calhoun County today at 7 p.m. in a varsity-only outing.
BOYS
Parkersburg Catholic 68,
Notre Dame 57
CLARKSBURG -Jake Ullman knocked down four 3-pointers and poured in a game-high 30 points as Parkersburg Catholic defeated Notre Dame 68-57 on Thursday night.
The Crusaders improved to 13-2 thanks to the bench play of Austin Luther, who contributed 14 points in a reserve role.
Parkersburg Catholic returns to action tonight against Williamstown.
Gilmer County 67, Wirt County 58
ELIZABETH - Gilmer County jumped out to a 17-7 lead after one and although Wirt County had it down to a one possession game late here Thursday, the Titans left town with a 67-58 triumph.
Anthony Aviles dropped in 21 points to pace four Titans (8-7) in double figures. Gilmer County also received 12 points from Mitchell Hickman, 11 from Austin Ratliff and 10 more by Nathan Allison.
The Tigers, now 4-13 with a home game this evening versus Tyler Consolidated, was led by Dustin Garner's 13 points and Kalob Bell's 12. Mark Cunningham chipped in nine points while JT Stephens had seven markers and as many caroms for the orange and black.
Ritchie County 76, Ravenswood 62
ELLENBORO - Andrew Davis posted a monster double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds as Ritchie County handed visiting Ravenswood a 76-62 setback here Thursday evening.
The Rebels (9-5) led 21-5 after one and 45-17 at intermission. D.J. Burgess chipped in 14 points and Justin Sage contributed 11 markers in the win.
Ravenswood (4-10) had double figure scoring efforts from Jake Martin (18), Jon Crow (13), Dylan Radabaugh (12) and Heath Burgess (10).
