PARKERSBURG - The next to last Winter Market will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at 705 Market St., the West Virginia University at Parkersburg downtown campus.
Featured are select cuts of meat, including rabbit, pork cuts, lamb cuts, ground beef and guineafowl, and jams and jellies, honey, handknitted wares, crafts, soaps and sundries.
The market kicks things off with entertainment from Vicki Boggs of Belpre from 10-11 a.m.
She has appeared at fairs, festivals and dinner shows in the Mid-Ohio Valley and beyond.
At noon, Gene Evans will give a cooking demonstration at the college's new Culinary Arts Academy. Evans is the academy's new culinary director and a certified chef with the American Culinary Federation.
The facility is adjacent to the Winter Market in the 700 block of Market Street.
To help everyone warm up, Evans will prepare a healthy, roasted butternut squash soup. The first 10 participants who register for the cooking demo will get a free market bag filled with ingredients selected by the chef.

At the end of the demo, a tour will be held of the new facility.
