Nelson E. Clark, 81, of Belpre, died at the Muskingum Valley Nursing Home in Beverly.
He was born in Pickerington, Ohio, on May 24, 1931, and was the son of the late James and Edna Heisey Clark. He had worked at the Bureau of Public Debt. He was an Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Evah Doherty Clark; two daughters, Donna (Douglas) Williamson of Davisville, W.Va., and Joyce (William) Jenne of Edgwater, Fla.; a son, Nelson J. (Sherri) Clark of Gloucester, Va. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jason Jenne, Jereme Clark and Joshua Clark; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Jenne; one brother, James Clark of Columbus, Ga.; two sisters, Connie Anderson of Ohio, and Nina Clark of Parkersburg; two step-brothers, Donnie Smith of Parkersburg and Carroll Smith of Davisville; three half-brothers, Ronnie Clark of Rockport, Dale Clark of Palestine and Bill Clark of Belleville. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Denver Clark and Willie Clark; and infant sister, Glenna Clark.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, with Rev. Carl Kesselring officiating. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home, and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
