Together with their parents, Malynn Sue Lowers and Matthew Dustin Pettrey, announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of the late Brenda Hendricks of Parkersburg, and the adopted daughter of Edna and Jim Lemon of Parkersburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Patsy and Fred Lowers of Parkersburg.
She is a 2009 graduate of Parkersburg South High School, and is attending Glenville State College.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Janetta and Dustin Pettrey of Lerona.
He is the grandson of the late Glenna and Dale Pettrey of Pettry, and the late Mildred and Oakley Blankenship of Narrows, Va. He is a 2007 graduate of Pikeview High School and a 2010 graduate of Glenville State College. He is a firefighter for the city of Bluefield, W.Va.
A wedding is planned for July 27.
