Ronald "Ralph" Charles Bailey, 74, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away Jan. 18, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, W.Va.
He was born March 13, 1938, in Oberlin, Ohio, a son of the late Floyd A. and Treva J. Rosecrans Bailey.
Ron was retired from LTV Steel as a foreman of tractor maintenance. He enjoyed bluegrass music, television westerns, fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandkids. He was a former member of the Belpre Lions Club and the Antique Tractor Association.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon D. Adams Bailey; a daughter, Stacie L. Matthews of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; three sons, Christopher A. Bailey (Tammie) of Elyria, Ohio, Randy C. Bailey (Gerri) of Belpre, Ohio, and Matthew A. Bailey of Elyria, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Janice McConeghy of Cropwell, Ala.; and a brother, Larry Bailey of Oberlin, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Stump.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd., Belpre, Ohio, with Pastor Denise Humphries officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
