The Cincinnati Reds Caravan will be making its 2013 stop in the Parkersburg/Marietta area from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 at the Grand Central Mall in Vienna.
The fan stop will feature Reds' Hall of Fame broadcaster Marty Brennaman, All-Star second baseman Brandon Phillips, broadcaster and former pitcher Chris Welsh, minor league catcher Tucker Barnhart, assistant general manager Bob Miller and mascot Gapper.
The annual Reds Caravan provides fans with the opportunity to interact with current and former players, broadcasters and members of the Reds front office staff. At each fan stop, the group will field questions from fans and sign autographs while time allows.
All caravan fan stops are open to the public and free of charge. At each stop, the Reds will raffle off two tickets to the 2013 Opening Day game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Monday, April 1.
The 2013 caravan is scheduled to make 15 fan stops in four states covering more than 2,800 miles over four days.
On Thursday, Jan. 24, the Reds Caravan will be in Athens, Ohio at The Market on State from 6:30-8:30 p.m., while on Saturday, Jan. 26, the Reds contingent will be at Nationwide Arena in Columbus from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Both locations will feature the same Reds' personnel as will be at Grand Central Mall.
Another arm of the Reds Caravan will visit Huntington and Charleston the same week on Thursday, April 24. It will be in the Huntington/Ashland, Ky. area at Fannin Motors from 3-5:30 p.m., followed by a 7-9 p.m. time slot at Charleston Town Center.
These West Virginia stops will feature Reds' broadcaster Jim Kelch, broadcaster and former pitcher Jeff Brantley, infielder Todd Frazier, pitcher Logan Ondrusek, 2012 minor league Player of the Year Billy Hamilton, Vice President of Baseball Operations Dick Williams and mascot Rosie Red.
