Ronald W. Dye, 75, passed away Dec. 19, 2012, at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Born in Parkersburg, W.Va., Ronald was a 1955 graduate of Parkersburg High School, and served in the Marines where he was honored twice as Marine of the Month. Ron studied business management at IPFW, and worked in the Food Service Industry with Azar's, ARA Food Service and Marriott for more than 50 years. He walked with God as a member of East Allen County Church of Christ. A devoted husband and father, he will be remembered for his humor, culinary skills and his loving heart.
Surviving are his wife, Charlotte H. Dye, and daughter, Dr. Angela Dye LaSalle, both of Fort Wayne; brother, John (Elva) Dye of Parkersburg, W.Va.; sister, Jean (Jim) Farley-Nordeck of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and sister, Sondra (George) Simpson of Tucson, Ariz. He was uncle to nieces and nephews, Brenda, Lynda, Ronda, Jackie, Denise, George and Bryan.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Marguerite Dye.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 22, 2012, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Everett Confer officiated. Calling was also 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Dec. 21 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home. Burial was in Covington Memorial Gardens.
