MORGANTOWN -Parkersburg South ran into a buzzsaw here Friday night as the Patriots dropped a 79-52 decision to regional, TRAC and OVAC rival Morgantown.
The Mohigans (6-1) took a 47-27 halftime lead and stretched that margin over the final 16 minutes. Nathan Adrian led the way with 20 points, while Dean Marshall added 16, Boston Agnew 13 and Mark Johnson 10.
South (8-2) was led by Tyler Bolen with 15 points and Wes Mitchem with 13.

ST. ALBANS -St. Albans held off a second-half Parkersburg rally here Friday to down the visiting Big Reds, 55-53, in a Mountain State Athletic Conference game.
The Red Dragons led 31-23 at halftime and attempted to run out the clock in the final quarter when PHS stretched their hosts to the limit. St. Albans (3-4) was led by Nathan McNeal with 23 points.
Parkersburg (1-6) got 17 points from Trevor Britton, 12 from Ben Umpleby and 10 from Braeden Cabbil.

MASON, Ohio -Belpre broke a 35-all tie in the final eight minutes here Friday night to take a 53-46 Tri Valley Conference win over Wahama.

PADEN CITY - Zach Heasley and Kennedy Cain both posted double-doubles to help host Paden City roll to a 65-26 victory against East Richland Christian here Friday night.
Cain scored 23 points and had 11 boards while Heasley tossed in 17 markers and grabbed 10 caroms. Luke Cooper chipped in 12 points and was one rebound shy of a double-double for the Wildcats, who improved to 7-2 and plays host at 2:30 p.m. today to Beallaire St. John.
Joel Mott led East Richland Christian (1-6) with 11 points.

ST. MARYS - Visiting Doddridge County trailed just 10-9 after one here Friday night, but St. Marys posted a 27-2 advantage in the second period and rolled to an 85-29 victory against the Bulldogs.
Audra Clark had 22 points and 10 rebounds for the now 8-0 Blue Devils, who also received 12 points, 10 steals and seven assists from Abbi Fetty. Ashley Hall chipped in 17 points and Kendra Walker a dozen in the victory.
D'Andra Swiger led the 'Dogs with 10 points.

WILLIAMSTOWN -Wood County Christian has a winning record, thanks to Friday night's hard-fought 57-50 win over visiting Elk Valley Christian that raised the Wildcats' record to 5-4.
Heather Lord led the way with 18 points, including the team's only two treys. Adria Herridge added 13 and Hannah Lord 11 for Wood County, which will travel to Teays Valley Christian next Tuesday.
Elk Valley was led by Chelsea Burdette with 18 points and Hannah Williams with 15.

PADEN CITY -Myah Charkawi scored 18 points and Logan Cosper added 11 here Friday night to lead Paden City (5-4) to a 65-33 thumping of visiting East Richland Christian.
The Wildcats scored 22 first-quarter points and never looked back as Lynnsie Parsons and Hannah Stanley each added nine points.
Paden City is back in action tonight, entertaining Bellaire St. John.

MT. ZION -Calhoun County won for the second time this season here Friday night as the Red Devils topped visiting Hannan, 32-26.
Sam Harris and Kenzie Hicks scored 10 points each for Calhoun (2-6). Chelsea Meadows had 11 for Hannan (0-6).

SPENCER - Brittany Gould bucketed a game-high 27 points here Friday night as Clay County improved to 11-0 after picking up a 67-54 road win at Roane County.
The Raiders, now 1-9 with a road trip Wednesday to Braxton County, got 24 points from Becky Frye and 11 markers from Micky Rhodes.
McKinzee Barker had 15 points and Caitlyn Horrocks 10 for the Panthers.
