Now that the new year is upon us, we join in the chorus many of our readers are undoubtedly singing: where did the old year go? Time passes quickly. However, it has passed and 2013 is here. Whether or not we usher in the new year with resolutions, or whether we just look upon it as a continuation of the old one, we hope these coming months bring our readers prosperity and happiness.
Our most fervent prayers this New Year's Day are for families with loved ones serving in the military, especially those ones in Afghanistan. For these families, every day brings worries. We hope before this year is over all of our soldiers will be out of harm's way and back home with their loved ones.
