Eldred R. "Edna" Morgan Davis, 79, of Washington, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 29, 2012, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
She was born July 4, 1933, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harley Morgan Sr. and Vinnie Brannon Morgan.
She was a graduate of Wirt County High School with the class of 1951, a member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star 14 Lodge.
Surviving Eldred is her husband, Ruel R. Davis; two sons, Steven Morgan Davis (Becky) of Veto, Ohio, and Stuart Lee Davis (Robin) of Washington, W.Va.; a sister-in-law, Norma Morgan; five grandchildren, Joshua, Staci (Andrew) Morgan and Matthew, and Morgan and Carly; a great-granddaughter, Delaney Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harley Morgan Jr. and Charles Hugh Morgan; one sister, Ada Ruth Simmons; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Eldred was the last of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street., south Parkersburg, with Pastor Joe Busch officiating. Interment will follow at Merrill Chapel Cemetery in Wirt County. Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
