“Maggie” Taylor Lawrentz

Margaret "Maggie" Taylor Lawrentz, 91, of Parkersburg, passed away on Dec. 24, 2012, at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.

She was born in Frankfort, Ky., a daughter of the late Frank and Annie Thomas Carpenter. "Maggie" retired from Montgomery Wards in 1983. She enjoyed flower gardening and time with family.

"Maggie" is survived by two daughters Carolyn Parsons and Dave of Parkersburg, Margie Abbott and Ken of St. Albans, daughter-in- law, Karen Taylor of Parkersburg, four grandchildren, Darin and Amanda, Eric, Lisa and Ronnie, Brian, two great grandchildren Mariah and Colton.

In addition to her parents, "Maggie" was preceded in death by her first husband George E. Taylor, second husband Howard S. Lawrentz, son Harry James Taylor and several brothers and sisters.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Bernard "Dobbie" Thrash officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. on Friday prior to the service.

The family has requested that memorials be made in "Maggie's" memory to the Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311-1824.
