James E. Conklin, 68, of Harrison City, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, in his home.
He was born April 23, 1944, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of the late Reginald W. and Mary Evelyn Boyles Conklin. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a mechanical engineer for Westinghouse in Monroeville. He also worked for Martin Marietta Corp. in Florida and Colorado. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Greensburg, and was a graduate of West Virginia University, with a degree in mechanical engineering.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lois Jane Hyde Conklin; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lloyd W. Hyde and his wife Susan of Pittsburgh; a sister-in-law, Carolyn (Hyde) Peters of Pittsburgh; a close cousin, Charles W. Conklin Jr. and his wife Louanna of West Virginia; and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the James E. Lindsay Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, Pa. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, with the Minister Chris Flickinger officiating. Interment will be private in Greenwood Cemetery, W.Va.
