Robert Hugh ‘Jack’ Tennant

Robert Hugh "Jack" Tennant, 79, of Joseph's Mills Community, Alma, departed this life Dec. 23, 2012, in Wheeling Hospital.

He was a son of the late Opal Tennant.

Jack was a retired employee of Taylor Smith and Taylor, Chester, W.Va., and Mountaineer Race Track, also of Chester. He was a United States Army veteran and a Protestant.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Tennant; four sisters, Jean Underwood, Janice Goff, Betty Doll and Joann Tennant.

Jack is survived by a sister, Jennetta (Alva) Doll, Alma; four nieces and five nephews; and special friends, Dianna, Terry and Donna.

Friends and family will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Furbee Funeral Home, Route 18, Tyler, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. Interment in Spring Hill Cemetery, Joseph's Mills, W.Va.
