Kathy Gaye Gwinn

Kathy Gaye Gwinn, 58, of Ravenswood, W.Va., passed away Dec. 19, 2012, at her home.

She was born Oct. 21, 1954, in Oak Hill, W.Va., daughter of Tommy H. and Freda Neal Smith.

She was a secretary/bookkeeper for Operating Engineers Local 132 in Medina, W.Va.

She graduated from Ripley High School in 1972. Kathy was a former member of the Jackson County Quilting Guild, and a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church in Medina, W.Va.. She enjoyed crafting, but especially quilting.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Gwinn of Ravenswood; sons, Jeremy Gwinn and wife Amber, Ravenswood; and Randy Gwinn of Ravenswood; her parents, Tommy and Freda Smith, Ravenswood, and Clyde and Imogene Gwinn, Ravenswood; granddaughters: Natalie and Gabby Gwinn, Kingston, Ohio; sisters, Charlotte Riggs and husband Mike, Arcadia, Fla.; Vicki Flanagan, St. Albans; Robin and Chuck Wise, Ravenswood; and Kim Gwinn Trotter and husband Steve, Knoxville, Tenn.; one niece and seven nephews

She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, William Flanagan.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 3 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Derek Snyder officiating.

Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., time of service.
