David Wright, Jr., 88, St. Marys, husband of Neva Pearl Stewart Wright for 58 years, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Born on Sept. 5, 1924, in Ben's Run, W.Va., he was a son of the late David William and Alice Belle Barnhart Wright. He was a Korean War veteran serving from January 1949 to February 1950 and from October 1950 to September 1951. David worked in maintenance at Union Carbide, Sistersville Plant from 1955 to 1987 and was a member of the American Legion Post 79.
Survivors other than his wife include one sister, Betty Stewart; and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Denzil, Arthur, Howard, Charles, and Blake; and one sister, Marie.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Friday at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys. No services are planned. Burial will be in Long Reach Cemetery.
