Cecil A. Lang, 74, of Parkersburg, passed away Dec. 17, 2012.
He was born at Lowell, Ohio, the son of the late Carl J. and Ruth A. Thieman Lang.
He had worked in construction for several years, and was owner and operator of Lang's Concrete and Gift Shop for 30 years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elma M. Gorrell Lang of Parkersburg; one daughter, Vicki Viers and husband, Brent, of Parkersburg; two sons, Steven L. Barker of Parkersburg and Kevin Lang and wife, Cindy, of Parkersburg; his grandchildren, Kia Hoops, Amber Fulton, Stephanie Bryant and Chase and Paige Lang; his great-grandchildren, Addison and Carter Hoops and Mia Bryant; one sister, Marian Thrasher and husband, Larry, of Marietta, Ohio; one brother, Ronald Lang and wife, Monica, of Lowell, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Betsy Lang of Waterford, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Barker; a sister, Susan Newlon; and a brother, Carl Lang Jr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Father Neil Buchlein as Celebrant. Interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with a Christian Wake Service at 8 p.m.
