President Obama has made it very clear he will not accept "playing games" over raising the national debt ceiling. He wants to be able to raise it automatically and only a two-thirds majority in the House can override his decision. Well isn't that wonderful. Obama has no constitutional authority to raise the debt ceiling. That is the job of the legislature. He wants to continue to spend over a trillion dollars more each year than the government takes in. Absurd! We as individuals and, states, local governments and business can't do that but Obama thinks he can.
We must stop this excessive spending now or we will destroy the future of our children and grandchildren. Obama says we must tax the rich or he will let us go over the fiscal cliff. The tax he wants on the top 2 percent will run the government an additional eight days next year. To balance the budget without cutting spending would require significantly increasing taxes on all taxpayers. In 2009 taxpayers making over $66,000 (top 25 percent) paid 89 percent of all the revenue our government collected about $3 trillion and about $1 trillion less than we spent (thus a trillion dollar deficit). Those taxpayers are 10 percent of the population, and they pay for 89 percent of all revenue collected. If Obama took all of their income, that still would not cover the yearly trillion dollar deficit. Soon Obama will demonize this group for not paying their fair share.
We cannot let Obama and the media continue to financially ruin our country. Wake up and study our Constitution and demand our representatives follow it. It's down to freedom or free stuff in this country. Where do you stand? The takers are outvoting the makers. Obama is coming after the 2 percent today but you will be next. Study what is going on, seek the truth for yourself, the media will do nothing but protect their god Obama.
Demand a balanced budget (spend no more than the government takes in), don't let Obama increase the debt ceiling again. Obama can pay our debt interest with the $3 trillion taxes it collects. Then with what's left over we will see if he supports the middle-class who paid the taxes or supports illegal's and folks who sit at home and live off the rest. You then will know the true Obama.
